Debby Tendler has a background rich with experience as a stone sculptor, teacher, therapist and Certified MARI Practitioner. She has worked extensively with children and adults both individually and in groups for the past 27 years, in a variety of private and institutional settings. These include health care facilities, schools and synagogues.
In Debby’s studio, she works with both children and adults facilitating arts unique quality to demonstrate what is not always on the surface. Debby believes in the capacity of the human spirit to heal, and she shows people how to use their innate creative expression to access deeper levels of personal understanding, which in turn enhances self esteem and well being. She is also adept at guiding people interested in enhancing personal growth and deepening self-understanding.
Debby believes it is more useful to help people focus on where they want to go in life rather than where they’ve been. Often clients have no concept of what that means or how to get there. Debby facilitates this process of discovery in collaboration with her client, to create and attract a new future. She also uses her therapeutic skills to help people become unstuck from their past while helping them to recognize patterns and beliefs that keep them from moving forward.
Debby has a B.S. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Bridgeport and a Masters Degree with Distinction from Pratt Institute of Brooklyn in Art Therapy and Creativity Development.
